Communities

Wood County is really six distinct communities under one roof, each with its own history and personality. Beyond the incorporated cities, unincorporated communities like Holly Lake Ranch add still more lakeside living options.

Each city maintains its own chamber of commerce and local resources for new residents, businesses, and visitors, and the WCEDC has compiled a starting point for each below — from new-resident service guides to city-specific demographic profiles — so newcomers and site selectors alike can get oriented quickly, whichever community fits them best.
